The Lawton Chiles Legal Information Center at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law seeks applicants for two newly created positions, Head of Special Collections/Legal Research Faculty and Emerging Legal Technology Specialist/Legal Research Faculty.

The Head of Special Collection/Legal Research Faculty is responsible for and oversees special collections held by the Legal Information Center including historic Florida legal materials, archives relating to the history of the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law, and its rare book collection.   The Head of Special Collections provides reference services and faculty research support in addition to teaching in the College of Law. The Emerging Legal Technology Specialist/Legal Research Faculty will be part of the Legal Information Center’s public services staff and will participate in a variety of Library functions including providing reference services and faculty research support, classroom teaching and other instructional activities at the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law with a focus on emerging legal technology and innovation in legal education and law practice. The library’s principal user population includes approximately 60 tenure-track faculty and 40 other full-time faculty members, and approximately 1,000 J.D. and LL.M. students.
